I can't help but wonder why?
Could be the, Ew! factor. Regardless of reasons, it's time to swing the spotlight back onto this centuries, nay, thousands of year old practice.

For me, it's definitely the Ew! factor, so I thought...what if there was a service?

Enter -The people's Pee Pill-

For a low fee, our trained collectors will gather samples of your own, (after the first few seconds of flow), urine, every morning
This, already sterile, kidney blood filtration process by-product, will be further dehydrated and processesed until it is rendered into powder and then encapsulated in a non-stick gel-cap coating.

These daily supplements will begin arriving within one month of signing with UrOnTrack Inc.

I have one kidney. It worked its little glomeruli off all night to clear out all that creatinine and urea. Then bring it all back? I think my kidney would blow me a raspberry and die.

Collecting urine is a really good idea - but it's plants that need it, not people. Eat the plants that drank the pee, not the dried pee.

       So, you're in therapy?

there are things called no-mix toilets for re-cycling one's pee.

I'm intrigued as to how you came up with this idea

For years I have been saying, "You just watch, the first company to figure out how to turn, whatever is in red wine that is good for you into a pill, is going to make millions." They have just done so. [link]

I had also read about urine therapy.
I don't like the thoughts of swilling my own pee. I thought that the same benefits might be derived in pill form and found that the idea didn't tweak my gag reflex.

       What [lurch] said.

[2 fries] If I believed in the therapeutic value of pee consumption, I might agree with you about having it in pill form. But I'm not inclined to believe in the therapeutic value - [lurch] and [david_scothern] have it right, I think.

       Could be.

[Lt_Frank] There's a thought. If they survived it, you know it's not a fatal dose. Assuming your body weight isn't a lot less than theirs.

Gives a whole new application for royal food tasters.
