Every holiday people get thousands of SMS messages
with greetings: We wish you happy new year. Have a
great holiday. etc. etc. Its nice to get good wishes from
friends, and even sometimes to read witty inserts from
some service you didn't really register to, but why not
read them at your leisure,
without cluttering your
phone's inbox? So here's the solution:
Phone company continues to get revenue from tons of
stupid SMS messages, paid by the senders, but you don't
see them anymore. At least not as annoying text
messages.
You get at most one message per holiday saying: Friends
sent you a Passover Greeting. You then log in with the
password given on that single text message (or request
a password change via SMS) and can see all the
messages people sent you for the holiday. If you don't
disable the feature, an hour before the holiday you also
get a summary or if too long, at least a count of how
many greetings you received.
Achieved by a special license and cooperation with the
cell carriers.

The idea illustrates another reason why I don't have a mobile phone. |

You don't have a mobile phone?!! So you have a life.
What are you doing on halfbakery? |
|
|
I just re-edited the for clarity - I hope. |

You get to "pass, over" the messages without delving
into them, until you have time, and then you can
have them read to you, while you are reading
halfbakery. |

OK, I think this is one idea where the name defies
the cause. Its a general idea for SMS greetings. |

And would you happen to have any Grey Poupon? |
