If you could "bury" a coil of duct for the make-up of your home ventilation a few feet in the gound, it would cool the outside air in summer and warm it in the winter. This would probably cut down on the utilities.

I can't be bothered to google it, but it is baked, sorta: the systems use water rather than air. You need quite an impressive length of tubing under the ground at a depth of (if I recall) a couple of feet at least. But it works and is commercially available. I nearly bought one. |
