You run out for lunch with a friend from the office. While you are out, he has to stop at the bank. You're driving.
When you get to the bank, all of the drive-up windows serve only the driver's side of the car. Now, you have to either let your friend go in the bank, or you act as a pass through
back and forth for the transaction.
Why not a passenger side drive through built into the back of one of those suction tube things? Shouldn't amount to too much trouble.
Almost similar discussion.

You could try backing in... [+] |
|
|
SD, Just use the consoles as they are (at banks with multiple lanes)... when using the one on the passenger side, just drive to that side of the drive lane. |
|
|
Or just send the telescopic box on through the driver's window, in front of the driver's chest to the passenger? |
|
|
First of all, can't they just use an ATM? |
|

Second of all: //Why not a passenger side drive through built into the back of one of those suction tube things? Shouldn't amount to too much trouble.// |

Well, may not be TOO much trouble, but it's still more trouble than handling things through the driver. [-] |

Sorry, backing in seems like too eccentric a solution for me to ever pass up. Now all I need is a friend who will... who am I kidding, I can stop there.[-] |

This may not be a problem in the US but for Europe would be great a lot of drive th roughs are designed for left hand drive cars what happens to the Brit abroad in their Right hand drive car? or the European in the UK in a left hand drive car? |

How about a drive through with counters on either side? Those with passengers could go one side, those without the other. |

*Goggle* !!!
..
.
there are *Drive-through* banks!? |
|

Unbelievable. Here, the banks open slightly after normal working hours begin and close slightly before normal working hours end. On Fridays, many people work a half day and then do their weeks shopping and errands but, guess what, the banks close early too. Bastards. And they don't open at all on the weekends. |

Can't say I've ever heard of Drive through banking.
(make the getaway easier though) |

just get a foreign car!
Or better yet get off your fat arse and walk ;) |
|

But you could burn off some calories if your going for fast food. |

Passenger who wants to do banking and is too lazy to get out of the car sits in the back seat on the drivers side. |

People are asking WHY? they should be asking WHY NOT?

By the way... there are MANY transactions that cannot be accomplished using an ATM. |

This is when I feel so lucky to have two feet. |

Baked. We already have them. |

Getting or depositing coins. Cashing (not depositing) a check. Getting cash other than $20's. |

[m-f-d] Prebaked by four years. Linky. |

All of the banks I have gone to won't allow coins in their tube systems, weight reasons. |

I would never, ever, ever do this. Nobody in the world needs to know my PIN except me and my credit union, and I don't need to know anyone else's. |

Please learn the English language before you try this again. |

How about one of those debit machine pin pads that can be built into a driver's side drive through ATM. The passenger can use the pad to select the amount and put in their pin number and have the driver put in the card and hand over the money. |

Though this doesn't concern banks, the idea of backing through has been tried and was not appreciated by the Wendy's server whom served us. The funny part was that she let us proceed, but warned us never to do it again. After that incident I noticed that:
1)My friends and I have bouts of amazing stupidity
and
2)The bank card keypad cables got significantly longer shortly after. |
