       An interesting proposal. Presumably the wardrobe suites should be on the landings halfway between floors, otherwise there is the danger of a person in the wrong era clothing being seen.   

       Presumably if you are on the seventh floor you have to incrementally change outfits as you descend until you don current-day fashions and emerge onto the street. So the building can't have lifts - or rather, each lift shaft should only run between two adjacent floors.
