In a specially equipped room or hall, a multitude of motion and laser sensors are monitoring the ballerina's every move.
Then, as she starts to dance, the sweet sounds of music pour from the walls themselves, controlled completely by her body movements -- she both conducts and performs the music.

There was a variation of the theremin, I forget its name now, that was played by moving the entire body over a platform. But it was basically altitude-based--the notes depended on the height of the the mass above it, meaning your "dance" would be primarily vertical. |
