Like one dishwasher but better. This is two dishwashers:
side by side, next to each other, in a kitchen. They're the
same, but there's two of them.
Cutlery and crockery is now in just one of three places.
It's
in a dishwasher having just been washed, it's in the other
dishwasher ready to
be washed or, you're using it.
Two dishwashers negate the need for cupboards. It's
cheaper and better for kitchen amnesiacs.
"Just like a conventional dishwasher, except there's two
of
them in this instance. A huge improvement."

Fisher & Paykel got there first
http://fisherpaykel...77-F64B4A9CAF40FA9F Two dishwashers in one unit. May be fully integrated into cabinetry or kept as stainless. Can also be installed side by side. [infidel, Sep 27 2010]

I was going to say what [infidel] said, they're expensive, but nice. |
You probably can't get them, in rainy, dreary Englalond. |
No, we're only allowed one per household over here, on
account of rationing. And they are made of leather. |
Oh, and it's spelled "Ingerland." |
I have seriously thought about doing this. |
Is there no limit to what two of one thing can do? |
This is too good. So good I can't stand it.+ |
[MB], I meant Fisher & Paykel dishdrawers, churl. |
Surprised to hear that leather buttplugs are rationed,
in your country. |
infidel... I'm beginning to think the majority of your
time spent on here is dedicated to the belittlement
of people in such a moderate way that it can almost
be mistaken for lame attempts at cunning. I'll look
into it further. |
Wasn't this hippo's idea originally? |
The problem with this as i see it is that one dishwasher becomes a dank cupboard unless you get through a whole load of crockery in one go. It would be rather like using a washing machine as a wardrobe. |
I'm not sure about cunning, but this place brings out
the linguist in me, [daseva]. |
//infidel... I'm beginning to think the majority of your time
spent on here is dedicated to the belittlement of people// |
It's fine by me. I have egobesity. |
+ I have always called my dishwasher *the wet cabinet*!! 2 would solve all problems! |
I want to bun this on the principle that more (two) of
a good thing is usually better, but I hate unloading
one dishwasher. Would I have to unload two, now?
(More {two} of a bad thing.) |
And, would (could) they both be quiet?!? I hate the
noisy ones. |
[MB]//I have egobesity.// |
But, you can't help this...and, you are not morbidly
egobese. Those smarty pants just make your head
look more egobese. |
I'm on a low-fact diet to try to resolve the problems. |
"egobesity". My new favorite term. Thank you. |
Of course. "The HalfBakery.--Naturally low in facts." |
Stick with it, [Max]. The great thing about the HB is
the more you want the less you get. |
//The HalfBakery.--Naturally low in facts.// |
I think we did that one in the now-dead "Taglines". Alas. |
This is a good idea - so [+] - but it is indeed baked by many. My parents for one... |
It's better than you might think though. For general use things yo-yo back and forth between the two. Sometimes items get put back in a cupboard and othertimes new items join in the yo-yo action. |
However, when you have people over, they work as a double size dishwasher and all the dishes can vanish. |
After "Two Cups of Coffee", and now "Two Dishwashers", I will resist the temptation to post "Two Halfbaked Ideas". |
//I think we did that one in the now-dead
"Taglines".// |
That is exactly where I got it. Did not mean to
suggest otherwise. More of an endorsement of the HB
for your um...issue. |
Ah - sorry, my misunderhension. |
I just let nature take care of such matters for me. |
//After "Two Cups of Coffee", and now "Two Dishwashers"// - I think this implies a house with two kitchens, each with its own coffee-making facilities. |
You have taken that too far. |
[21]//I'm at a loss to understand how an idea that is
so obviously Baked is getting so many positive
votes.// |
Really? I can see how this idea might not get *your*
positive vote, but I have no trouble understanding
how it got so many *other* positive votes. Same
voters, same standards (or lack thereof). |
Which is not to say they are right, you are wrong.
Just how it is. |
Well around here you have twice as many cups to wash, so
you need 2 dishwashers. I think. |
[21Q]: Votes mean ... what? Doesn't have to be original to be liked, does it? I personally think that two dishwashers is a great idea. It's wholly baked, of course - but I ain't grumbling too much as long as my dishes are done. |
What might be a better idea is to have two half-sized dishwashers co located. Like a dual compartment. Sure, efficiency might be poor - but you'd get the general benefit of this idea... it might even be preferable to a single full-size dishwasher. (Just spotted [infidel]'s link... "yeah - like that!) |
Oh - and great to see ya, [jtg]. |
//Well around here you have twice as many cups to
wash, so you need 2 dishwashers. I think.// |
[21] See? Same voters, same flawless logic. |
Thanks, [bliss]. Loved your post. |
If it's of any help, I have a double-drainer sink. |
[21 Quest], I mean this in the nicest possible you, you must understand, hmmm? |
Seriously, man, I am worried about you. I wouldn't make this entreaty to you if that were not the case. However, I feel I have to bring it to your attention. |
People here post silly ideas in order to entertain themselves and others. It's not a life-or-death situation every time someone posts an idea or an annotation or casts a vote. |
Buy, hire or steal a dog and go and play with it in the park for a while, or something. |
This place is a playground, not a battlefield... OK? |
now now [infidel] [21]'s opinion is as valid as anyone's ... |
Valid perhaps, but I'm not so sure the level of belligerence underlying most of his/her annotations entitles the writer to continue to make such comments without an expectation of challenges from others. |
If you have an opinion then, by all means, express it. My contention is that you can do so without hammering it down people's throats. |
If I may say so (and I think I may), then it isn't so much a
matter of whether, as it is a matter of when. Or don't they? |
There are some small blessings in this world, it would seem. |

Bigamy is illegal in this here jurisdiction. |

Oh crap. <backs slowly away from AWL while keeping six for projectiles headed in his direction> |
