Ever get those plant trays with diagonal holes in the bottom?

Just pour out the litterbox onto one of those (you can save whats left for whatever suits you fancy) and whatever falls thru is CLEAN cat litter. Try it. You'll need a 2nd litterbox tray but its worth it. No more scooping.

I'll say it's baked. What blainez describes is commonly known as a sieve.

I'm in favo(u)r of account deletion for repeated category abusers. He's clearly ignoring the messages.

blainez, 'sifting' litter boxes that work exactly like this have long existed, so this is baked. They're a pain to use, if you ask me. Much simpler to scoop.

[po: that may be so, but at the very least he could acknowledge that he doesn't know how. From here it looks as though he's just pressing on with a 'to hell with it' attitude.]

waugs - to give benefit of the doubt perhaps he needs instructions in how to do this!?

Maybe I'm just late to the game, but what do greenhouse, petwarming, and plants have to do with sieving kitty litter?
quarterbaker, Mar 05 2002

I have 4 cats, and decided to try the sieving litter box in an attempt to make life easier on myself. Even with the most expensive clumping brands, the wet litter gets stuck in between the narrow slats and clogs it up. My next plan is to put one of the automatic scooper boxes on layaway and give it a try. I know people who still dump the whole box in the trash and don't deal with scooping at all. Any other ideas?
