Naturalbasic
The Universal 'mini' second language of the world. | |
Ok, this must be baked or at least half-baked but just in case ...
Many moons past when I was studying Computational Linguistics we used to laugh at the idea of automatic natural language comprehension and translation because natural languages like 'english' are just so conceptual based, fuzzy, ambiguous,
context dependent etc. But at that time I thought, why not invent a totally new language that lacks all of these tricky ambiguities etc. Ok it's going to be a pretty boring language but it would be easy to learn and understand for both humans and computers and could be used for reasonably low-level, non conceptual linguistic interactions such as 'mars bar purchasing' etc.
With Naturalbasic whichever land you are in, and regardless of whether you are talking to a human or a machine, you'll always be understood.

Thanks for the Loglan link [boris], fascinating, but makes this pretty baked. |

We have natural language interpreters. You can tell them apart from compilers because they have ponytails and thick glasses. |

Plus, Atmempto/ACE. Like tech writing but for program computer. Have my quibbles on details. Loglan/et al has great precise logic words. Esperanto - half learned before I gave up in disgust. See VERSE for why. |

[I] just assumed that [readers] on this illustrious website would be able to fill in the missing pronoun. My apologies. Now that I realize that I am being graded, I will hereafter use proper essay form. |
