shoots first and asks for the butter later

NRA toaster is loaded with blank firing ammunition, provided for by either a six shooter type arrangement, or a curved cartridge like that of an AK47. (belt feed under development)

After each slice of bread is loaded into place, the toaster fires off a series of rounds, with the resulting blasts striking the surface of bread obliquely, and toasting it in streaky rows.

"I love the breakfast bread from my NRA Toaster first thing in the morning. It tastes like victory".

Actually, blowing holes right through it, without any "toasting" per se.

Man can not live on bread alone. [link]

Googles "impact caramelization" - gets irrelevant results. (Admits to never having considered thermal glass transitions in sucrose... wanders off)
