Idiot proof? Challenge accepted. |
|
|
The real world invents far superior idiots, rendering the
standard model a poor test. Maybe creating a spec for
"Highest Known Level of Idiocy" (HKLI)? The sort of idiot
that can throw switches HALF way leaving it between
detents and sending intermittent signals to two separate
circuits at the same time. The sort of resourceful idiot that
can weaponize inrush current with an imaginative switching
order. The sort of prepared idiot who happens to be able to
apply huge amounts of force because he's carrying his lucky
18" adjustable wrench. |
|
|
My favorite recent example of idiocy, was an epoxy filled
pressure valve on an autoclave (essentially a big pressure
cooker). If I find out who did it, I'm reporting them for
bomb making. If you see something, say something, I
definitely saw an alternate reality with a lot more shrapnel. |

Like the previously mentioned guys who closed up the
pressure relief valve on a liquid oxygen tank. (link) |

Do you have to die to win a Darwin Award? These guys
amazingly survived. |

Ha! Blown across 5 lanes of traffic, surviving the force is one
thing, the traffic is another. |

[bs0u0155], wow. Glue in the keyhole is one thing, but gluing
a relief valve is a whole nother level of stupid. |

Making a threaded plug for a pressure relief valve truly is inspired idiocy. |

Halfbaked as a concept already. |
