Mystery Critic Theater 3000

Based on the old Canadian TV series

Simple concept: Each episode, the producers get three film critics and film them watching a movie, commenting on what they see, like, what the director was thinking, etc. Just like the prisoners would do in the original Mystery Science Theater 3000. Except instead of poor movies, the viewers would get a new insight into actual good movies. Although it might be fun to force Ebert and Roeper to sit through Saw 2 again.

I loved MST3000 and this idea is great+

Good idea. I bet that real movie critics would be irritated by people spouting off on the fly, interrupting the movie. This might be good for a DVD - you could watch the movie, then watch a version with the guys talking over the movie. It still might be irritating.

       MST3K FOREVER!

I would hate this - it would be a little too serious for me. Today a friend and I RIPPED the new X-men movie in the theatre today. It was empty, and we just couldn't resist. Bun anyway, because I see where you're going with this and can appreciate it.

hm... In MST3k, they were prisoners? Did I miss something?

Crow, Tom Servo, and Joel were prisoners on the satellite of Love being forced to watch cheesy sci-fi flicks as torture.
