Circle of fifths clock plays the music after choosing the scale and key.
Then when you choose the chord a triangle is drawn showing the notes that will be played.
When actually being played the "hour stripe" (0 for D, 2 for E, 3 for F etc) lights up.
Choosing a style will create an external
triangle with the chord. The first notes will be marked with a large colored "point", and from there arrows going slightly inwards to the next note in the measure according to the style.
The first notes played are marked with number 1 then 2 3 etc. The duration will be marked as a thick line directly towards the center. See link with the google slideshow.

This seems to be an interesting idea, or at least an idea. Unfortunately I can't understand what is going on from either the idea text or the slideshow. I would like to see a more comprehensible proposal saying : what the device is meant to do, how it works, and what the point of it all is. As written it could be a clock that plays a different chime and light show every hour, or it could be an educational tool for teaching children to memorise relationships... or something else entirely. |
