Not a radical idea or even a new idea for sure but just didnt see it in the archives. The idea is to provide users with a plugin for Winamp, WMP, and Instant Messangers where they can click it to find songs which match their mood or is considered a tune which they may find decent. The tool catalogues
your patterns of listening and matches it to a database of others. Those who play a song or rate it based on mood or quality determine if the recomended song is presented to you for listening. This would help people like me who are looking for other similar cool tunes to Hans Zimmer's The Battle or Danny Elfman's Sommersby End TItle which otherwise would not have been found.
If you can tell me a service that does this now, and i know there are many, I'd be appreciative.

[quantass] your idea is similar but not
entirely the same as
www.audioscrobbler.com. I've added a
link. This 'listens' to the tunes you play via
iTunes and posts your choices to a
website. It then networks you to people
with similar musical tastes. |

How is it different from Amazon's "people who like this also like..."? |

Also, I can't quite parse this: "Those who play a song or rate it based on mood or quality determine if the recomended song is presented to you for listening." |
