I haven't seen the Rob Schneider vehicle Lt_Frank mentions, but that may well have been what it had.

In older, non-movieplex theaters, don't outgoing and incoming groups of moviegoers already mix in the foyer, and don't the newcomers already scan the others' facial expressions for clues?

"I sooo didn't expect Bruce Willis to be a ghost!", exclaimed the girl to her friends, whilst passing the queue on their way out of the theater.
