Turns out [Canuck] will be in my neck of the woods on July 30 for a few days.

The more the merrier...

       Is he bringing an excavator?

Ahhh I have an American Airline voucher that was originally to Idaho. That combined with my bonus pay I'm getting Friday for being an essential worker for 3 months could get me pretty far. I also got a week off with pay for being so charitable and risking my life, (not) to save the less fortunate during the pandemic.

       Let me think about this.

What exactly did you do to offend them so badly ... ?

He can leave his excavator at home. I had to get my own.
The thing is the same age as me and runs like a top. Guess they just knew how to make stuff right back in 68.

Sorry [bliss] but nobody will be coming across the border for a while yet... although the loophole is apparently telling the border crossing guys that you are driving to Alaska which is technically still the U.S. and considered 'essential travel'.
But you didn't hear it from me, and don't get somehow detoured to Banff like those guys they arrested last week or so.

       Hosers.

       Ohhhh crap, fries. That sucks.

And 8th, the virus, that's what happened, the same thing that happened to my United trip to East Coast.

//runs like a top// you mean it spins uncontrollably round and round, and then gradually slows down and then falls over onto its side?

Perhaps you could stand each side of the 38th Parallel North, and shout at one another ?

       Don't we all?

//you could stand each side of the 38th Parallel North, and shout at one another ?//

       That would be rude.
We will need at least cups with strings attached to their bases.

All string base are belong to cups.

       //Don't we all?//

In general, yes, but in the Southern Hemisphere we spin the other way.

Ah. It crossed my mind the other day to wonder whether Coriolis has any bearing on the rifling effect of a penis while urinating depending on which side of the equator gestation happened.

Stupid thing to wonder I know... but clockwise north of the border seems to be the consensus so far.

//.. detoured to Banff like those guys they arrested last week or so ..//

Can a warrant be served across the border? Asking for a friend.
reensure, Jul 25 2020

Bench Warrants are certainly enforced across the Canada US border both ways. In fact even only a provincial bench warrant will get you nabbed even if crossing from a province other than the one the offence occurred.

// Can a warrant be served across the border? Asking for a friend.//

If your friend is Meng Wanzhou, then I'd tend to say "yes". Not that I agree with the arrest, mind you.

       [reensure], you funny guy.

You guys are missing out...
