Mechanical Unit for Sustained Kinetics

The dubious salute bird feeder is a mechanically driven standing humanoid figure, which can be anchored in any outdoor place in order to launch food for the birds over a variety of distances and angles.

The figure periodically places its hand onto the heart area of its chest to retrieve a tasty piece of toast soaked in lard/suet (which birds love) and into which many different seeds have been embedded. The feed material is stored inside the figure using a re-loadable cartridge which must be changed for a new one on a regular basis.

Once the bread is in hand, the figure pivots on its base randomly then the arm shoots up into what resembles a rather infamous salute, but in reality is just the bread being launched towards the waiting birds. (birds are smart - they know when there’s a yummy free lunch)

The results of this action are slices of nutritious bird food being dramatically flung considerable distances in a number of different directions, making the birds very happy, who immediately begin squawking with delight and calling all of their clever friends to enjoy the resulting feeding frenzy.
