This is a NON TECHIE program for the everyday computer user, to get performance out of their PC.
Sometimes your in a hurry and want the PC to give full attention to what you are currently working on (say a spreadsheet or a game). You installed in the tray all kinds of nice programs that are monitoring
the web reminding you to stretch etc etc. They all take up memory and CPU, and sometimes become a hindrance.
So an easy process manager would be nice with four sections:
high/medium/low/not-now.
The processes are stored in groups under friendly names given to them by the user community.
You drag/drop the group of processes to the section you want it to run at. Once in half an hour it pops up and asks if to revert back.
Shared processes will be shown in several groups and will have the priority of the highest group.
The PC would "dump" some of the in memory processes with lower priority onto the disk, leaving the memory free for the top priority app.
