My phone has the annoying habit of emitting a loud beeping noise every 2 minutes when the battery power is low. It's really annoying. the only way to make it stop is to either plug the phone in or turn it off. What's even more annoying is that it does this when the phone still has quite a bit of time left before it dies... I've had it last over 2 hours (not talking, but using other things on the phone) on "low battery" before it went dead. not to mention that the "outer screen" (it's a flip phone) has a low battery message that takes up the whole screen when the phone is closed. I think you'd see that before it died.

It would be nice if there was an option in the phone's menu to disable the low-battery alert. Or, it could be set to only do it once when it first reaches low-battery, have a red light flash instead of beeping, or something along those lines.

usually you can just put the whole phone on silent or vibrate mode to disable the alarm, but sometimes EVEN THAT doesn't silence the low-battery alert! I don't understand why the manufacturers can't just put an option in the menu to disable that stupid alarm. I'm pretty sure that most customers would appreciate that
