Box attached to TV that produces custom-tailored laughter

We all now the traditional canned laughter in sitcoms. It is a (great?) help for all of us who are insecure as to what is really funny or not, especially when we are watching by ourselves. But the canned laughter is also very unpersonal. Also, not every one likes the assistance the laughter provides.

My suggestion: Remove the prepackaged canned laughter, replace it with a control signal (outside the audible spectrum) and have a small box that you attach to (or just put nearby) the TV's audio output.

The box would pick up on the control signal and emit laughs that you have recorded yourself, perhaps of your loved one or of a good friend. The sounds would be sort of like a Windows Theme, matching the various kinds of laughters used in sitcoms.

And needless to say, those that don't want the laughter can simply skip the box. Or for that matter put some other sound effects in the box.

I like it too, especially because it lets people who hate laugh tracks have their cake too.
