Never trip over another cord again!
Inspired by the hand-held vacuum, this model can be taken up and down stairs (as well as vacuum the stairs) without ever having to look for a plug.
(??) baked, sorry...
http://householdapp...e_rechargeable.html probably better examples than this. where is phoe? [po, Oct 04 2004]
In-Wall Vacuum
http://www.smarthome.com/9256.html Not rechargeable, but requires no electrical wall plug, and there is no no heavy equipment to lug up and down stairs. Yes, the initial investment is somewhat larger. [jurist, Oct 04 2004]
(??) Large Cordless Rechargeable Vacuum
http://www.sewserg..../abp02122-0773.html As [po] probably was pointing out, units like this Eureka model typically aren't worth what you pay for them ...Even under $60US. [jurist, Oct 04 2004]

you require a *large* re-chargeable vacuum cleaner? whats wrong with the little ones? |
So you don't have to bend over and break your back, po! |
That's OK - you could leave the battery
downstairs and just have a power cord
between the battery and the vacuum
cleaner... |
po doesn't have to bend over and break her back to anything - she has a staff of willing slaves drawn from the males of the HB. |

what happened to the central vacuum hook up ideas of the past? where all you had to do was plug the vacuum hose into the wall. |
just noticed it there as a link by jurist, |
...and with a decent vacuum cleaner pulling 2-4 kW, it would be quite some accumulator |

Did the "stick" vacuum cleaner form factor not yet exist in
2004? |
