Nothing ever gets booed or deleted. Just moved
appropriately. And at the same time, it's a website with an
action based approach. Not just talking for nothing, but
finding answers, or making decisions.
AllQuestionsRGood is a forum which is a hybrid of
StackOverflow
(or StackExchange.com
technology) and Clubhouse.io. (Also
maybe flock app - the slack app alternative)
- A Major discussion-genre is set at the beginning: Politics /
Software / Science / Inventions / Home ... etc.
- A topic-type is the subsection of the discussion-genre. When
in
a discussion-genre you do not see other genres. The topic-
type
is the sub-genre.
Each sub-genre can have fields that are typical / required /
available for that type of genre. So for a bug - you would
have
steps to reproduce and configuration with current versions of
software components and environment.
An example sub-genre type would be:
A product/language section. e.g. Matlab / Python / Google
API
/ VS Code / Atom.io etc.
- For each product: Some main fora-sections that cannot be
changed: Beginners, Advanced, Features, Bugs, etc.
- Each section can have sub-sections.
- Each subsection:
--has votes on section and on comments -
--has links between comments.
--has the option to convert a comment to a topic.
- Instead of denying a question and downvoting, be positive:
-- Mark as: MultipleQuestions (and allow suggesting a list of
questions)
-- Mark as: Off topic (and allow suggesting where to move,
and
if blatantly off topic - just move it to new topic)
--Mark as: violent / hate / personal - and move to sections
where people wish to look at violent / hate / personal /
controversial . Maybe that will calm things down when the
violent people discover they are not being listened to unless
they stop yelling.
