While shopping, one often wants to be able to choose where in the world (literally) to send one's hard earned money in best conscience.

Flipping boxes over and turning out clothing to find the "Made in..." tags is a bit of a bother, also for the staff who have to unflip the boxes and retrieve items off the floor.

Proposed is that stores which stock items made in many different countries simply group similar items together (if possible), and include "Made in..." signage. § x1

Clothes are from everywhere imaginable, except I do not think the Europeans make any clothes for kids. A good project for a grade school class would be to have then rifle thru drawers, bring an assortment of clothes, have a world map and then have pushpins to indicate each country where an item was made. The kids would have to find the countries for themselves.

       A bit like wine then:

These slippers were made in France. A good pungent aroma with hints of Camembert.

This dress is an elegant red. Made in the rolling hills of Tuscany. Best served in a classic setting with a light breeze to bring out the delicate highlights, preferably on a blond.

[21Q] As I understood it, the Isrealis wanted the 'middle east' designation BECAUSE people are boycotting Isreali goods. Using the more general 'middle east' was intended to prevent consumers from being able to distinguish and thereby boycott Isreali products.

The Palestinians were quite rightly somewhat miffed.

So most of the store would be China, and one small shelf, far in the back, would have a sign for domestic.

Country of origin is hard to define.... there are materials, design, and assembly to consider.
