Gather fifteen to twenty overweight will be dieters at an international airport. Herd them onto a plane and fly them to the Caribbean. There they will be again herded, this time onto a boat where they will meet Mr. Survival. They will then be taken to a deserted island and issued a pack of saltine crackers and some raspberry flavored chewing gum. Mr. Survival will make sure they have the necessities; emergencies will be called into HQ. After 45 days they will be delivered back to everyday life as a trimmer slimmer version of themselves, with some added awareness of the nutritional value of bugs and that sort of thing.

100% dramatic weight loss guarantee or your money back.

Nope, three times and I still don't get it. Neck's sore however, from nodding left and right.

I think the process of "will" dieting might be interesting though.

The human attempt to reduce or negate the amount of "will", be it good will or bad, that a person can reasonalby expect to lose or gain in a specified allotment of time. Assuming a certain excess or shortage would exist to begin with.

Mr. Survival makes sure there is enough for survival (i.e. food, water, ect). Emergencies being medical emergencies, such as if someone were to fall out of a tree they were harvesting leaves from, or bitten by a shark while scrounging for sea mollusks.

Is the Carribbean devoid of fish and natural foodstuffs? Any self-respecting dieter is likely to be sufficiently skilled in MacGyvering fish and berries to live very well.

       Who needs Mr. Survival?

Which is why I like this idea, w/ the right island and the right amount of effort, no one would be in any danger of going hungry.

My one problem w/ this idea is: So these overweight folks will go to an island, subsist on berries and fish until they lose weight, then go home and go back to eating whatever they did before.

Problem is easily solved: Make Mr. Survivor a health food chef and have healthy foods (but still tasty) brought in once a week. Mr. Survivor shows all the dieters how to make healthy food that still tastes good, out of things they won't have to go foraging to find.
