Internal Dog Fan

Dogs as we know sweat through their tongues. On hot days dogs - especially large ones, can overheat.

Install an internal fan blowing against the heart and chest area to cool the blood down so that there is less panting and saliva on the couch or carpet areas.

As dogs can often be quite unpredictable creatures, an extra long extension cord with secure attatchments may be required, to ensure they dont pull out of the wall socket when cars or cats pass by.

That could fit in between the saliva regulator and the optional turn signals. Yes, dogs should have turn signals to prevent cars from running over them.

I'm not sure I'm following this completely ... would they have little exhaust louvres built into their sides? Couldn't we make this solar powered?

As far as I can tell from one canine sample, there is a large vacant space immediately behind the eyes and between the ears in which this system could be installed.

It could even vent through the ears. If it were powerful enough, the ears would flap entertainingly and, if an internal light were installed, you'd create the same effect as those 'fake flames' used in discos (or whatever people call them these days).

Install the fan a foot in front of their face. Then you'll get a constant head-out-the-window effect they love.

(oh, and fans don't do much without something like sweat to evaporate when it's hot outside)

good point [Worldengineer] maybe some sort of small internal refrigeration cell. I guess the blood could be replaced with a cooling additive also.

Good time to envoke the standard halfbaked Peltier solution. Perhaps a peltier-effect solar dog collar?
