So,

You’ve got your favourite pair of small plain black little shoes, which you would wear for all occasions if you could but they are too plain for some and too lardy for others. How about clip on decoration! One or 2 poppers on the shoe and a selection of different style flowers, bows, in a range of colour to clip on as you need. You could even carry an alternative decoration for those times you just don’t know what everybody else is wearing..

Inspired by the agonising pain I have to endure while the other half chooses footwear for the night out.

What a great idea to save the time and money of the male population. Unfortunately, I can visualise the retort from the less hairy, higher maintenance percentage of the population. They will simply insist on as many pairs shoes as you can provide options for attachments then still take as long to (Jimmy) Choos them.
I feel your pain, bro'.

your pain will not disapate I'm afraid - I can see that your good lady will spend/waste an equal amount of time choosing the appropriate popped on attachment.

Tough life, innit. Welcome to the halfbakery.

When your partner shoeses accessories, if it takes too long, tell her to get her skates on.

Yes, I can see that giving the girls the opportunity to accessorise their shoes may not speed up the getting ready process. It's still a good idea though, especially if you're a girl.

wrong, and accessories are available already

you are forgetting leather color, one can't be seen in black lace stockings and tan leather shoes, even if there is a black thingy on top.

goodness me! I had forgotten what a downtrodden bunch of wimps some of our halfbakermen are.

oh wait... I thought you meant YOUR shoes...

I'm lucky if I can accessorise my shoes with my feet...

Grolsch bottle tops are all you need for that Bros look. Which is, quite frankly, the only look you'll ever need.

I tried that when I was young and stupid(er). Then someone told me Bros had done it before and I realised what a complete berk I must look like. I shudder with the memory.

Shoe clips have been baked since the 1950s, maybe earlier. My mom had some nice rinestone pairs.
