Half a croissant, on a plate, with a sign in front of it saying '50c'

Why on earth would you want that many gazelles anyway?

Indiscriminate Pride Parade

For those of us who don't care about labels

A chance for anyone who wants to just to parade through the streets in a celebration of being alive and being human, with no lines drawn between black and white, male and female, straight and gay. Ideal forum for meeting like-minded individuals who care more about individuals than group identities.

Macy's Day Parade http://www.ny.com/h...giving/gallery.html
Thanksgiving is about as equal-opportunity as it gets. Unless you're a turkey. [DrCurry, Oct 04 2004, last modified Oct 05 2004]

And for those of you who *really* don't like labels http://www.burningman.com/
...there's Burning Man. [DrCurry, Oct 04 2004, last modified Oct 05 2004]

Large-FIgured Pride Day http://www.halfbake...gured_20Pride_20Day
Something like this was suggested in the first annotation by [hippo] on this idea from two years ago.. [krelnik, Oct 04 2004, last modified Oct 05 2004]

       "I'm proud and I'm proud!"
phoenix, Apr 02 2003

I love this! You would get good sponsorship for this sort of event. I'd attend!
Pericles, Apr 02 2003

This is just a typical parade, isn't it?
waugsqueke, Apr 02 2003

No. Shush. Zip it and sit. The coppers would be on you with water cannons and tear gas in a heartbeat. And rightly so. Indiscriminate pride, indeed.
bungston, Apr 02 2003

STOP, ER, START, ER, START, ER, INDISCRIMINATION NOW!
thumbwax, Apr 02 2003

I wanna carry a sign that reads 'Yippee!!!'
sambwiches, Apr 02 2003

Baked, I believe - most big cities have some sort of general feel-good parade with no special distinctions involved. In NYC, it's the Thanksgiving Parade.
DrCurry, Apr 02 2003

The only label I proudly wear says "Drip Dry Only".
lostdog, Apr 02 2003

Maybe it should be scheduled in August, since Pride goes before a Fall.
FarmerJohn, Apr 03 2003

       //In New Orleans, Mardi Gras.
In Germany, Karneval / Fasching.
In San Francisco, Gay Pride Parade//

In London, stay at home and grumble.

And then attacks Michael Parkinson. Though I'm not sure whether he'd be up for that.
-alx, Apr 03 2003

I am a 'ordinary' person and have nothing to be proud of, so I like this idea because I have always wanted to parade but never had anything to parade about.
Mr Risk, Apr 03 2003

I don't want to rain on your parade but...
po, Apr 03 2003

...they won't be taking any Risks.
FarmerJohn, Apr 03 2003

I'm not very up on my religious studies but isn't 'Pride' one of the seven deadly sins? And wouldn't it therefore be anti-Christian to hold such a parade?
DrBob, Apr 03 2003

[hippo] I just realized you suggested an idea very similar to this one in an annotation almost two years ago. See link.
krelnik, Apr 10 2003

Well spotted [krelnik] - I had completely forgotten about that (Aug 13 2001 anno: "It might be better to have a catch-all "Pride Pride Parade". If you're proud of anything - anything at all - then you can show how proud you are")
hippo, Apr 11 2003

How would we signal our pride of pride? All the good ribbon colors have been taken...
