Imagine an asymmetrical ice cream scoop: bent to scoop in a spiral, so that it follows the curved wall of a round ice cream container. One 'scoop' would be all that's needed, producing a curling ribbon of any length instead of a series of dips.

Surely beyond the molecular level, you couldn't really make it thinner and so longer?

Apart from this, it augers well.

       Very nice and yummy idea.

I'd always assumed that those things they use for ice fishing were just repurposed icecream augers.

Do people go fishing for ice? Can you milk Ice? I'm confused.

Quite popular up here, ice fishing. Go out on a frozen lake in the middle of winter, dragging behind a small shed with a trapdoor in the floor. Park the shed, open the trapdoor, auger a hole in the ice, put beer in there to keep it cold. Consume beer.
