There must be some way to make a drink that is thick and delicious like a milkshake but also hot. When it's a cold day and you want something more decadent than a hot chocolate that you can slurp through a straw, the hot milkshake would be totally awesome.
Honestly I have no idea what ingredients
would need to be used but I imagine something along the lines of chocolate, milk, and a lot of cornstarch.

baked, but clearly not baked. |

Place one in a microwave and see what happens? |

A hot toddy. Whisky, honey, dash of lemon juice and hot water. |

welcome [kindle] if you are new. It's a
worthy suggestion, but hardly constitutes
an actual idea.... A straw that heats and
foams the milk as you use it would be
such a device, or does this already exist? |

That's a superb idea! Especially if it encorporates some kind of blue LED system and humming sound to accentuate the *power* of milkshake. |

Yes, soup! Thick vanilla, chocolate, or strawberry soup in a tall glass with a straw!! |
And xenzag I think my problem with foamed milk is it doesn't have the thickness that I'm going for. Hence the necessity of cornstarch or some other thickening agent. |
how thick do you want it? Try adding a little rennin! |
You could add mashed potato... |
Actually this would just be a thinnish custard served warm with a straw. |
Sounds kind of nice. (Well not today, today is hot and sticky.) |
It sounds pretty good, especially since it's only 95 degrees right now outside, but not later when it's about 108 degrees or later this summer when it's around 116 degrees. |

Where I come from, this is a euphemism for a, uh... "drink" that is thick, but not delicious. |
[Kindle] Don't they call this a cappuccino? |

Not quite.
I'll give you a hint: the straw is made of meat. |
Try making hot cocoa, then add ice cream and whipped cream. Shake or blend. (the ice cream won't cool it down completely)
hey, this is a recipe. |
