On the whole, given an opportunity to do some good, most people would help out worthy causes if it meant no commitment on their part, had minimal impact into their lives and could be performed whilst sitting in the comfort of their favourite chair or in front of their favourite computer whilst remaining in the comfort of their favourite home!

There are plenty of opportunities out there that benefit a worthy cause, but to do it from the comfort of your own home, well that's another thing. Sure, there is information scattered around the net, but there doesn't seem to be one place where home volunteering opportunities have been collated.

Perhaps a website could be set up for just such a purpose. It would be an altruistic endeavour and the nearest I have found to the idea is this site http://www.helpfromhome.org/ which I feel needs a little more depth to it, eg. it lacks in-depth 'Articles' on the subject of volunteering itself. Perhaps there are other websites out there which have already embraced the idea, but I haven't come across them yet.

This idea could very much benefit worthy causes if more people volunteered their time from home.
