No not a crystal ball, nor a time machine, but a hindsight goggle device to view your past mistakes with crystal clarity thereby prompting the user with the phrase "aha now with hindsight, I see the error of my ways" or something similar.

http://www.halfbake...life_20conversation I'd prefer julien's idea (with an expansion pack that covers all mistakes in life) since I'm not as interested in viewing my mistakes with clarity as I am with erasing them. [iuvare, Mar 06 2001, last modified Oct 04 2004]

What will really bake your noodle later is, would you still have made the mistakes if you didn't know about them in advance? |

There's a reason Epimetheus was a bitter underachiever. |

Having just operated my patent hindsight goggle, I now see that this a stupid idea. |

Perhaps you should have baked some foresight goggles. |

The trick I guess would have to be to incorporate both foresight and hindsight into the same device. Hence, it would rate on the likelihood of a stupid thing happening, and then do the 'told you so' bit if the wearer ignored the advise (which most of us would, after all, when have you ever listened to anybody's good advise?) |

Re: link for spy glasses, they fail to mention whether one can actually see ahead of you. I suppose it would be useful for checking out if the attractive person you just walked past actually noticed you (hard not to in those silly glasses). |
