Remembering halfbakery while we can.
Remember those days when there was no answer from jutta? And no mention of Halfbakery left anywhere on the internet?
This is a self defeating idea, 'cause if anything happens, this is the place that's blowing away. Oh well.

Have there been times when idea submissions sagged, or when bakers were loathe to resurrect previous ideas and kick 'em around? |
Perhaps this is merely one of those. |
Those numbers are actually better than I expected, [a1]. |
Besides, this is a good place, whether there's anyone active here or not. |

I can only speak for myself but my rate of posting ideas hasn't really changed during the entire time I have been here. [as verified in the links] I don't post quite as much since Max and 8th departed as I find no one else here to have the sort of exchanges we used to enjoy. Meanwhile the capacity to generate ideas is infinite. You just have to unthink a little. When the T word was in power things got distorted here as everywhere else, but we're mostly decontaminated now and I think we can stay that way. |
Maybe we should all go off and try to find someone who would be inclined to join to discuss things here and maybe post something like one good idea a month. |
I tell people about this site all the time. |

It is an acquired taste. You are either inventive/creative or you are not. Myself; I stored random ideas in the back of my head until I met you lot. I tried to get most of them out but I have no idea how many got lost. Now I post them as they happen. It seems to be cyclic... and diminishing slightly every cycle. |
I like to imagine that my eureka moments are not entirely behind me I and may brain-fart out an innovative whiff or two yet. |
In this place I have always loved even those I don't like. This is a magical, mystical haven for those who just like to check in for old times' sake when some silly or not so silly, quirky but doable, (for the most part), creative thingy pops into our heads and then bothers us till we expel it as a healthy digestive system should. |
Or if not because we have an actual idea, just to check in on kindred souls that seek entertainment, not easily found anywhere else. |

I could repost the 800 of my ideas that went with my account deletion, but that would make it pretty much ALL me. |
All at once! I guess you would need a script that could have 800 browser tabs open, and would simultaneously click "OK" on all 800 pages. Might need to notify [jutta] in advance and contribute to a bit of extra hosting bandwidth. |

Could you promise not to delete everything again? |
Maybe to avoid saturating the recent feeds you could do something like one a week, starting with your favourites.
It might take 15 years if you were to get through them all, but probably some of them aren't all that relevant anymore. |
I would be grateful for that - or, maybe, just your favourite 80. |

But he also needs to reinsert the several thousand annotations as well. That could take some time... |
Old friends never die, they just pop up in the Halfbakery. |
Add 8 ideas a day, with 8 random comments you made along with them. By my calculation, (ha, I can't calculate notin), you will have completed your revisions by the next time the next Big Bang occurs and wipes em all out again, just like the last time. So in other words; Wash, rinse, repeat, forever. |

Your visit highlighted my day, just like it always did, kind sir. (that was a leftover from waugs speak). |
