Embed powerful electromagnets in your walls. Install microphones. Set up a program to listen for gunshots and activate the magnet closest to the sound.
Electromagnetic bullet shield
Mentioned in my anno. The idea this idea prompted me to post [notexactly, Mar 18 2019]
Technically: Yes. Practically: No.

Are bullets sufficiently magnetic to be attracted or
redirected by even very strong electromagnets? I have no
experience handling lead but I doubt it. |
Lead (or any other non-magnetic metal, such as copper) will
be slowed as it passes through a magnetic field, due to eddy
currents. But this slowing will be very slight, I think. |
A bullet might be deflected if it passed through a non-uniform
field, but then again it will be deflected far more if it passes
through a non-uniform wall. |
Seeing as lead bullets are non-ferric I assumed this was
supposed to pull the guns out of the shooter's hands. |
//lead bullets are non-ferric// You're right, but they are
metallous, which means they can be affected by relative
motion through a magnetic field. But your interpretation
might make more sense. |
Actually, someone should do the experiment. Set up a long
tube with toroidal r.e. magnets all along its length (spaced
out), then fire a bullet down it and see how much the velocity
is reduced. |
What if you used lead magnets instead of iron ones? |
They'd work just fine apart from the magnetism bit. |

I suppose the number of body piercings are a low number per capita. Although some individuals are very far from the norm. |

This has reminded me of a related idea I came up with
probably over ten years ago. I should post that. |
[Later] I posted it: [link] |
The idea was to deflect and/or capture the gun, not the bullets. |
Yea, I caught that. Wonder how big the power supply backpack would have to be to have a glove with a super-magnet that could do this. Be like Darth Vader or one of those spandex wearing super heroes with super magneto powers. |
