With the enforced jollity of Comic Relief coming up (which the BBC are trying to turn into a whole week). How do you identify real professional Clowns from all the other jokers wearing red noses?
Professional clowns can simply get two cabbage leaves and using sticky tape, apply one to each ear.
Now
we can tell who is who.
(Readers of my previous ideas please note: I have used a spell checker on this one.)

Maybe you *are* as green as you are cabbage-looking? |

|
Wouldn't the long shoes, hooped trousers and/or face make-up (delete as appropriate) act as some kind of clue to spot professional clowns? |

Glad to see you learning. |

What are you talking about however? |

//Wouldn't the long shoes, hooped trousers and/or face make-up (delete as appropriate) act as some kind of clue to spot professional clowns?//
But how would you know if they were going about their normal clown business or were doing it for Comic Relief?
I feel that there is a hidden tragedy here. How many professional comics are deprived of their weeks wages by the 'enforced jollity of Comic Relief'? Should these Comics have their own Comic Relief Appeal? We should be told! + |

If you feed corn to cows, will you get corned beef to go with the green cabbage, next week? |

I fear my local cultural references do not allow me to understand the last comment, Neelandan. |

The Isle of Man is a bit like that at times. |

el dueno always used to sign his ideas/annos - el dueno, despite there already being an automatic bit of signage provided by the management |
