In short: have girls start primary school one year younger
than boys. Why, it makes all the sense in the world:
1. Girls mature faster (boys usually don't mature
anyway).
2. Girls are physically bigger than boys up to age 14.
3. Girls like older boyfriends
4. Girls will be happy to graduate
young.
5. Boys will get bullied less by girls in upper
grades (yes, that happened to me).
6. Boys don't need to see their classmates date 9th
graders and themselves be constantly treated like
greenhorns.
7. Boys will get more chance to outsmart those annoying
girls in the front seats.
8. Boys prefer to be the older one in general.
All in all, it is a win-win. Why hasn't this been done yet?
(Note: I was gonna post something about fake
somethings,
but nevermind.)

pretty much already solved by having girls/boys in separate schools or classes. |

Exactly one year of disparity or two? How many extra years of child labor in the farms and factories is this worth? |
|

There was a town in Texas that held all the boys
back a year so their football team would be
bigger/heavier. |

[-] for not considering unintended consequences or
understanding the current situation. I'm sorry your
childhood was unpleasant. This plan would make
everything worse. |

I vote for having students taught one-on-one at the rate at which they individually learn, whether male or female or both or neither or purple. |

Wait, that's not on the table is it? Well crap. Sorry. Carry on. |

What [sninctown] said. Ditto. |

Yeah, them's a lot of generalizations. |

Educating girls ? Are you mad ? For heaven's sake, they'll be wanting
paid jobs and the vote next ... |
|

I'm confused how this would change anything for the
future...I still work with immature men. And fyi, only
young girls might like older boys, but mature women
know the best is a younger guy! |

You can delete all you want, Eppur si muove. |

But Gallileo didn't get deleted (revoked, rubbed out, terminated with extreme prejudice), he just got threatened with torture and forced to recant ... |
|
|
Of course, Vatican didn't have a website where they
could delete him. They may have now but I don't
think anyone cares. Also Gallileo didn't accept
friendship requests. Newton was not even a vitamin
in an apple seed when Leo was toying with cannon
balls. |

I think many parents already do this: hold a
child back one or more years. The famous
example is so boys are bigger and excel at
sport. I think some parents are doing this so
their child will have an academic competitive
edge. In third grade my daughter said the
smartest kid in her class was a Korean boy who
was 2 year older than everyone else. |

The economic benefit of free daycare might be
an incentive to start kids in kindergarten who
are really not ready. If there is free preK
(prekindergarten - for 4 and 5 year olds) I think
it would likely improve academic performance
for all subsequent grades. This is a US-centric
perspective. I wonder if there is free preK in
more enlightened parts of the first world? |
