A rotating cylinder of whistles of different pitches in an air stream, either blown or using steam on a kettle.

It would be fun to have a kettle that played a tune.

I can't help but hear the hamster-dance while reading this idea. Despite that, bun.

This idea veers dangerously close to the concept of bagpipes, hence no bun.

Isn't it more like pan-pipes than bagpipes?

I think it was the consonant-vowel-consonant -pipes triggering the Borg pattern-recognition software, linked directly to the orbital rail-gun...

Be nice if it had one of those party whistle blow-out paper tube thingsies on each whistle.

Conversely a Gatling gun that whistles "And another one bites the dust" along with interchangeable soul stirring sounds. Should have great appeal to Confederate Loyalists still dreaming of the next Civil War and Chinese replica knock off specialists looking to make a killing.
