Gas money

You owe me exactly..

I routinely drive friends around. I give rides home to people daily. Most of the time my friends give me gas money. But how is that dollar amount figured out? I feel it should be fair. Exact. That way the passenger wouldn't pay way too much, or, elbow rub /hmmm, erh.mmm, NOT ENOUGH. The first step would be entering the current price of whatever grade gas you buy. You enter this on a LCD GUI touch panel mounted somewhere in the vehicle. Next the microprocessor monitors the fuel injectors and determines exactly how much gas was used over the time you drove. It then does a simple calculation and displays a dollar amount the person owes. Fair.

Don't forget the cost of insurance, registration, oil, tires, maintenance, tolls, parking, your car loan, etc. For an 'exact' calculation it will be necessary to accurately measure the wieght of each passenger and their baggage.

I'm sure your friends will be happy to take a taxi after you figure all of that out.

And charge them for the use of the home: toilet: seat category.

hobo, bacon, don't hate. This was conceived out of generosity. I have no idea if my friends give my too much money or not. I would like to know. And, because they are offering the money, themselves, to reimburse me for gas, I think it would be fair to know exactly how much gas I used.

I'm not hating it. I've been on both sides of the reimburse-for-gas confusion, and only hate people who say, "Oh, whatever you like," then get pissed when I make a guess.

I was commenting on the category, which is still home: toilet: seat.
