I like climbing, I used to climb practically anything in sight from trees in the country side, to buildings being constructed in the city.
The Full Metal Assault Park is a purpose built area landscaped with metal buildings and elevated angled structures including ramps, scaffolding, metal bridges,
toppled double decked bus's, tall street lights, cylindrical architecture, steep walls and all things climbable made from metal.
You are issued with safety equipment, a choice of magnetic Kneepads, magnetic gloves and variations of the Radus boots.<link provided>
The gloves and kneepads would work on the same principle as the Radus boots, with leaving one finger of each glove acting as a switch, switching the permanent magnetic fields allowing you to clutch and grasp around various angles of the structures.
The kneepads would work in the same fashion allowing the wearer to hang upside down and sideways.
The boots allowing you to walk and hang upside down.
Variations of using gloves and kneepads, boots and gloves or individual items could add to differences into how you tackle a certain structure or full metal building.
Maybe have tag teams or timing thrown in, or even endurance races.
Radus boots
http://www.cheniere...misc/astroboots.htm Strange thing is there's very little on Radus, everything disappeared. [skinflaps, Oct 04 2004, last modified Oct 05 2004]
Maybe this could be the theme music

The net seems to be wiped almost clean of Radus.

Can we build one? how 'bout right now?
that's awesome. I work in a place full of
stacked pallets, so Iclimb on them,
but this would be even cooler. You get
as much pastry as I can give. |

The guy with that radus boot site seems bit cracked (what's all this about energy barons?), but the tehcnology seems good. |
|
|
The bridges can be traversed hanging upside down, right? |
|
|
Walking on the ceiling has a long and wonderful history as a variete stunt. I'd love to be able to try out the various contraptions people invented. |
|
|
this is like an industrial artist's dream.. i.e. ME!
i love this idea so much let's build this! oh and here.. have a pastry. |

Gets my vote. But will I be able to rent a Gekkomat (see link) there? |
|

Guncrazy, that is one cool link. |

//One surgery with implants and you won't be going back to this park.// I didn't realise Titanium was magnetic, dpsyplc. |

//Yes jutta.// If this discussion works out, it bodes
well for communications with Proxima Centauri. |
|

Who'd want to talk to a centaur anyway? |
|
|
All the conversation you'd be likely to get is "So, you want the Klatchian vindaloo with extra chillis, but your digestive tract can only hack grass?" |
|
|
That Radus link starts out cool, but then goes all
bollocky with free-energy-from-the-vacuum crap. |
|
|
I still want a pair, though. |
