Take an ordinary coke drink and add all kinds of vitamins and minerals, thereby fortifying it. Then create this obnoxious add campaign hailing forticoke as Coke you can feel good about, and show mom serving it to her five kids for breakfast, dad quaffing one at the construction site, and the kids
expectantly waiting for one as part of the free lunch program at school. That ought to piss off a lot people and get lots of airtime on the news channels. Show a commercial comparing it to other sodas as part of a massive negative advertising campaign. Then top it all off with a 30sec music video spot during the super bowl by Britney Spears that try as you might, you cant get out of your head.
Sunny Delight slumps in UK Brands charts
http://news.bbc.co....1481000/1481280.stm People apparently found out that it was less healthy than the advertising suggested. [Aristotle, Sep 03 2001, last modified Oct 04 2004]

The only thing I can think to say in support of this idea is that it could work. Which is enough for a croissant, I guess. |
Reading this made me want a coke. Ah, the powers of auto-suggestion... |
...(returns from fridge with can of coke)(truly). Terrible idea. I'm going to have to give it a croissant. |

BS is signed to Pepsi - Thank God. How about somebody with personality and sexuality instead? |
I agree with Uncle Nutsy - this actually would work. I suggest you add fluoride, so we can brush our teeth with it as well. |
Ad campaign idea: a Fortified Coke (FC) box in the USDA Food Pyramid. No - better - FC IS THE PYRAMID, ALL IN ONE CAN!! |
Sounds like the Sunny Delight marketing programme in the UK, which was marketed as a health food and sold from chilled compartments next to fruit juice. This worked for a while but then consumer confidence collapsed, apparently after a small girl turned yellow. |
However Coca-Cola has bought the owners of Sunny Delight so FortiCoke might be on the cards, after all. |
look we are divorced now will you go away |
or failing that e mail me at least |
<ot>(divorced? to what does that remark pertain, praytell? mayhap a now-deleted annotation? *boggles*) |
i seem to remember divorcing pecknological but he is stalking me in the half-bakery |

I haven't seen Dr. Enuff outside of some beautiful mid-Atlantic areas. It is a fortified and (IMO) tasty drink. Probably should abandon any idea of KO or PEP participating, due to the taste/tonic association we're all born with. Why not instead steer toward 7-(MDR packed)- Up or Mike's Hard Pink Lemonade? |
Not Coke, but don't all those "isotonic" drinks like Lucozade qualify as baked versions of this? And it has plenty of adverts featuring sportsmen proclaiming how healthy it is. |
look - if i want my coke fortifying i'll put bacardi in it... oh thats not what you mean... still alchoholic vitimin rich coke might work... |
I remember reading somewhere about the remarkably acidic properties of coke. I bet if you dropped a few multivitamins in there, they'd dissolve in a few hours. |
They'd dissolve in water, too. They're designed to do that. |
Do you realize what you've done!!! If there's one idea in this site that would actualy work, it's this one. When the ad for this stuff hits my t.v., I'm going to turn my set into a fish tank. Thanks for nothin'. (But, hey, great idea) |

This sounds to me like cookie crisp. An unhealthy food product being portrayed as being healthy enough to be the centerpiece of a full balanced breakfast (even though its not). |
