Many election leaflets are printed on thick, glossy paper (presumably to match the candidates they're promoting).

We suggest that an actual benefit to the voting public could be achieved by requiring all election literature to be printed on soft, quilted two-ply tissue with appropriate perforations, ensuring a quick and cost-effective way of diminishing environmental impact while allowing voters to do by proxy what they greatly desire to do to those standing for election.

Madam Chairman I say again the representative from Georgia is a:

Soft, quilted two-ply tissue with appropriate perforations, ensuring a quick and cost-effective way of diminishing our citizens.

Why just look at his campaign literature!

We used to use last year's telephone directory for this purpose. It was quite common practice where I grew up actually and much better than the wafer thin shiny paper found in some homes that had 'government property' printed on each flimsy sheet. I have to confess that I once deposited a nice turd on an election document, then posted it back (anonymously) in a box to the sender (hated). I no longer even register to vote, but I will vote here where it matters. [+]
