Fish Scaring

Surprise a supermarket fish!

[with thanks to fellow fish scarer, Dan].

Enter your local supermarket [US read grocery store] and creep down the fresh food aisle.

Sneak quietly, surreptitiously towards the back of the store and the deli areas.

You will have seen it now : your destination : the fish counter.

You're almost there, don't blow it. Slide up to the fish counter and shout "Booo!" at the fish at the very top of your voice.

Stand back and observe their surprised countenances : the wide open eyes and the jaw slightly ajar. What fun!

[If the fish you approach already has the wide open eyes and gaping jaw, then you'll know a fellow half-baker lives nearby and has been fish scaring very recently].

jonthegeologist, Aug 01 2003

jonthegeologist, Aug 01 2003

changed vote if you are scarring fishermen.
po, Aug 01 2003

scarring? jeez, never. wouldn't wish to scar a fisherman
jonthegeologist, Aug 01 2003

I've known some fisherman. You wouldn't live to tell the tale anyway.
DeathNinja, Aug 01 2003

BOO! I scared you little bun into a big one. It got bigger thinking that I would run away. I think it even hissed at me. +

Please don't take this fishbone as an insult. It just fits so perfectly with the idea. (don't look, [sart], it could happen again)
Worldgineer, Aug 01 2003

       don't fish eat croissants though?
hazel, Aug 01 2003

       Not the dead ones.
Worldgineer, Aug 01 2003

hazel, Aug 01 2003

       Grrrrr. :)
sartep, Aug 01 2003

[hazle] Simple test: Do your fish look scared with wide open eyes and their jaws slightly ajar, wedged around an uneaten pastry? If so then yes.

[sart] Aaah!! (runs and hides behind produce island)
Worldgineer, Aug 01 2003

neilp, Aug 01 2003

Wake up jon boy, you're dreaming of nookie again and sleepwalking through this idea.
Worldgineer, Aug 01 2003

Hehe! That was the most psychotic thing I could think of, given that this seems to be a family feud.
Shz, Aug 01 2003

Man. The line between silly and stupid just won't keep still.
waugsqueke, Aug 01 2003

Oh please, don't run away World. Is my rebreather showing?

Would you expect anything different from the line between silly and stupid?
sartep, Aug 01 2003

A one eyed crippled fish in Iowa once told me,"Go to school and become somebody, you don't want to be like your brother.
