Finger Food Dispenser Buffet

It's all going to come in sticks anyways.

Most food you can eat is now in finger foods:

Dairy: Cheese sticks.

Desserts: Cinnamon sticks, doghnut holes.

Grains: Breadsticks, hush puppies.

Poultry: Chicken-on-a-stick, popcorn chicken.

Seafood: Popcorn shrimp.

Veggies: Carrot sticks, celery sticks, fried veggiesticks, french fries.

I could go on, but I won't.

So, build a buffet-style restauraunt based around these. You have cups wit bar codes on them, and dispensers like ice-cream or soda dispensers: push in the cup, trip the lever, fill it up with your food of choice.

A 'finger-food buffet' would charge four to eight dollars for a cup (plastic and rewashable, like trays are now). While you're socializing and what-not, you just walk up to the stand and refill as needed.

Less wasted food. Less utensils. Less work for the workers (or, they would work more on cleaning the store / helping the customers, which I would like).

Less utensils > fewer utensils more like.
Erm... I think this introduces a bit of an unrequired sterility into the dining experience for no benefit. There's no less waste, fewer utensils would just mean you need to have more space in the bathrooms for washing hands and.. in what way is it less work ?

*most* people probably eat rice (I'm not a geographer), so is already a finger food, just on a plate.

I must admit I like this idea.. Your hungry, but not hungry enough for a full course meal and you don't feel like whipping up anything for yourself. A perfect place to just relax with friends and munch on some snacks.

I saw something horrifying in a freezer case tonight: Fish Sausages.

I don't care how hungry I get. Nothing, but *nothing* will get me to eat dog nuts or dog nut holes (whatever they are, they sound revolting).

Finger food? Well that's a different matter. Seems to me that fingers would be a bit like mini pork ribs. A bone with a little bit of meat on. You'd have to take the nail off first though. That's a bit too icky.
