Make use of redundant Robot Wars robots to deter feral cats and other pesky beasties from jumping all over your yard or garden urinating and leaving dollops of shit everywhere.

Perhaps, by a bit of adapting you can attach sensors to your feralbot so it can detect movement and let it go berserk spinning frantically with flashing lights and laser pointers, beaming eyes and high piercing tones only recognisable to the pests ears.

Have attachments, long bendy arms with waterjets,a mirror that the Feralbot can rub furiously with tissue paper creating that screeching sound that you make when cleaning mirrors,or just let it track the critter and let it chase it around the yard or garden.

I know dogs enjoy chasing feral pests but what the hell, sure would be entertaining letting one of these loose.(If the problem persists attach the motion sensing laser guided hydraulic rubber plunger staple gun)

How does the 'bot distinguish undesirable animals from standard household pets?
snarfyguy, Oct 21 2002

I think the beauty part is that it doesn't!
Mr Burns, Oct 21 2002

As a responsible pet owner, you have of course had your pet microchipped. Program the 'bot with the code from your pet's microchip transponder. Then it powers down when your pet comes within its sensing range. Easy.

Yep,the Feralbot will recognise your own trusty pet by sensing a microchip in the pets collar and you operate the bot by remote so that it doesn't end up attacking you when going outside.. just hope your pet doesn't lose its collar or your batteries run out on the remote ,or you could wear the collar yourself.

Microchipped pets have the device inserted under the skin.
