A two-masted toy sailboat, made of very lightweight materials.
A "Y"-shaped yoke, two ends of which attach to the boat on the port and starboard sides, respectively, the third end of which attaches to a very long roll of string.
Perhaps a slightly modified sail design, such that when the boat
is sailing, and high winds come up, the boat will
fly.
like a kite.
Called *Escher's* Ketch because it embodies the principle diagrammed here.

Very nice. Can it hang apparently upside down from the crests of waves ? |
|
|
Does it have lifebelts in the form of Mobius strips ? |
|
|
Is the baler in the form of a Klein bottle ? |

Makes me think of parasailing wind surfers. |

Y'awl should name all the boats and get it over with in one fell sloop now because, schooner or later, someone will do it. |

Take a bow, without being stern. |

I got an Escher's cheque once. You can imagine the implausible queues I had to wait in to get that bugger cashed... |
