This product is an edible sandwich support that is soft.
Utilizing the same technology as is used in those spray on bandages this soft fiber(like a flavorless licorice string) "glues" itself to the layers of the sandwich until it is eaten, thus keeping your sandwich together. The fiber is inserted
using a larger, hypodermic like needle so it can be used for a variety of different food constructions and at varying angles.
This is a replacement for those little tooth picks that you need to pull out of your sandwich when you eat it.
half baked.

thank you [po] but if you read, this serves the same purpose but is quite different. |
We did edible tape and glue before, too. |
From the title I thought this was an idea to halfbake the thoroughly baked idea of "bread slices" |
I'm curious how you intend to pick your teeth after the meal now that you have ushered in the dawn of a toothpick-less society... |
Maybe we could tie the sandwich together with dental floss. |
support sounded better than holdertogethererthing. |
but *support* is a word for things like bras and jock straps... |
I pictured a sandwich cast. |
I thought it was someone you could call if you're having trouble with your sandwich. |
half-baked. They call this a "wrap". Roll your sandwich nummies up in flour tortilla. |
The staples, the dental floss and the tortilla (especially the tortilla - don't get me started on those plain tortillas) lack elegance in construction (ok, maybe the staples are ok, in a Detroit kind of way). The ESS, however, is a marvel of ingenuity and will allow you to get quite creative in your lunch preparation activities. You could include flavourings so the sandwich can be glued with tamarind chutney, for instance. |

This website is beginning to sound like an episode of Southpark where the kid kept saying, "The Simsons did it. The Simpsons did it." Maybe there are just no more original ideas out there anymore. Technology has at last reached it limit. Too bad for that. |

You are such a defeatist [NTSS]. Where would humanity be if Alexander Graham Bell had stopped his work when Berty (Berty was Alex' neighbour - and cousin, twice removed) told him that they only needed a short ride and a holler to communicate? Where would we be had Sir Isaac Newton said "fucking apple tree, I'll nap at home from now on"? If you're going to give up every time things get hard, you're going to be in a lot of trouble pretty soon, young man. |

Yes, [methinksnot]. I'm sorry.<kicks toe of shoe against the ground> I'll try to be better next time. <hangs head in abject shame> I didn't mean nothing by it. |
what about a thin sheer edible wrapping material, like a cross between edible rice paper and cling wrap? |
Spear the sandwich with a twig of beef jerky. Here's another one: the support in the middle of a delivery pizza box should be a formed block of parmesan cheese. |
