Eave Dribbler
A Gargoyle-Style Monkey Head With A Propeller-Hat Beanie. On A Stick. | |
This is for people who have planters along the sides of their houses. Rain flows into the eaves, bypassing your planters. So hang an Eave Dribbler above a planter. Wind turns a propeller on the device, which pumps water over the eave, onto your plants. With enough water flowing in the rain gutters,
this unit can become a siphon system, even without much wind force.
These are shaped in various forms, such as classic gargoyles, or modern popular characters. Set one in place with a special pole, lifting it to hook onto a rain gutter, temporarily, and reposition easily.

Not sure if I understand this... if your gutters are filled with rain and it's not getting to the plants which are sheltered by the eaves, why not just have a drain from the gutter going into the plant pot? |

I think the proposed idea is more flexible. Also more fun. [+] |

Well yes, anything that reintroduces gargoyles to contemporary architecture is certainly a good thing |
