E Z Game Overclocker

Here I go with my difficulty learning games again

I have a difficulty learning games. It doesn't stop me from playing them but I do spend a lot of time banging my head against the same walls. I would like it if games were easier or if they taught you to use them, adaptively.

I have noticed on games that are too fast for me that sometimes, like for instance when there is a lot of stuff going on on the screen or there is another resource intensive program running in the background, that everything flows down to my speed for a couple of seconds so that my playing becomes smooth and careful instead of a panic-y mess.

Wouldn't it be great if on flappy bird for instance you had an accelerator pedal and more importantly a break pedal? Or on Zig Zag which is my current favorite.

So this invention is an adaptive overclocker that figures out the least damaging way to over clock the system and the point at which game play starts to slow down and then let's you turn it up or down.

Good idea. But a simple slider setting for game speed would probably be the easiest way to do it.

I don't think you mean "overclock", which think means speeding up the processor. This would, if anything, make things worse.

You mean (I think) a programme that keeps the processor so busy that the game slows down.

       (Typed slowly for your enjoyment.)

Perhaps something that slows down the system clock while keeping the processor running at the same speed, so that the game runs in slow-motion.

A quick search for "slow down system clock" produces several results.

Or instead of the game you could watch a video of someone successfully playing the game, and you work the controls at the same time. I learned that method with arcade games; it saves you the quarter.
