"And next on the cat-walk is Suzie with her Duck-Billed Hatty Plus baseball cap"

"As you can see it's inspired by the attributes of that most eccentric of animals The Duck-Billed Platypus, with its gently curving double bill visor"

The Hatty Plus, uses the double bill as secure storage for small items like a set of keys, or a vanity mirror, an essential item for any girl, like Suzie who always needs to look her best.

Shown here with red velvet lining, and partially open zip.

When Suzie wants to carry even more stuff, she just pops on the Pelican Bill option instead, and swivels the hat around so that the beak hangs down over the back of her neck.

Lost in the ether, but now returned - with illustration I did at the time in 2006.

       OK, that's pretty clever. [+]

Hat storage (if not this particular design) is semi-baked (after a fashion) by squaddies everywhere who have been known to keep cigarette cartons (& even, in my personal experience, the odd tin of lager*) secured in their helmet straps.

       * though empty rocket launchers are better for that, you can get several tins in there.

       Go, Suzie. [+]

Reminds me of when my neighbour's cat became a duck-filled fatty puss.

A fatty tail as neck protector ? would add features of counterweight and second swivel visor.
