There have been numerous accidents and near misses of heavy drones falling from the sky following mechanical and other failures.
The idea is therefore to equip them with a parachute that automatically deploys when needed or on demand, bringing them slowly back down to earth, and landing safely instead
of in a tangled heap on someone's head.
