Dress-up Figureheads for cars.

Poor man's answer to the "Spirit of Ecstasy"

I'm jealous of the beauty called the Spirit of Ecstasy on the hood of a Rolls Royce. I want one for my Honda, or my bicycle. But these will be bigger and not have wings or capes so you can dress her up for holidays. She comes with an assortment of holiday hats, and jackets.

She probably has velcro to stick everything on her, and velcro to stick her onto the hood, so you can take her in at night. (to avoid theft, don't be thinking that perverted stuff on my idea.)

       The 'Bentley Barbie' ? Cool!!

I guess the ship figureheads had minimal clothing. I hope to keep this one modestly clad, so not to cause a traffic hazard.

A google image search for "Spirit of Ecstasy" filtered to only large images, returns some interesting results...

[2 fries] link, now that is ecstasy

I'd want it to be more of a waist- up figurehead, so none of these shenanigans can occur on my car hood.

manys the time I have seen some moth-eaten old teddy bear strapped to the front of a whopping great articulated lorry (poor thing)
po, Nov 08 2004

what is an *articulated* lorry, I know lorry is truck,[po]?

what amuses me is what you USians mean by van!

All you need is a barbie doll and some crazy glue. Then you can pick any outfit you want.

(dentworth, I think it's a truck with a reasonable vocabulary) Maybe it's time to bring my Action Man out of retirement.

Thank you for that advice [Brodie] and [nick_n_uit]

[Thud] see po's link, and Action Man and Barbie need to find their own party car.
dentworth, Nov 08 2004

I'd suggest a dashboard hula girl and some duct tape.
nick_n_uit, Nov 09 2004

+ I like this and would love a hood ornament like a mermaid on the front of a ship.

thanks xandram, I have since removed the illustration, but it wasn't very good anyway.
